Business Joensuu is launching a new international business and sales training programme in collaboration with seven companies from the North Karelia region. The participants are Lieksan Laatuherkut Oy, Ficon Oy, Fastroi Oy, Gymba Oy, JP-Cover Oy, Pekotek Oy and Okun Hammaspyörä Oy.

The GoGlobal intensive training programme is delivered using a new approach, which sees experienced international business and sales professionals coach participants throughout the programme. Hands-on, detailed activities and sparring with other companies in similar situations are at the core of the programme. The main goal is to increase international sales and make international business an established part of the companies’ activities. This group is the first to receive training in the context of the GoGlobal programme, which will run for a year.

Keijo Vikkula and Valtteri Tuominen will serve as “personal trainers” for international sales. Both men are seasoned experts in international sales and business, with successes worldwide. In his doctoral thesis Valtteri Tuominen examined the preconditions for success in technological sales. Keijo Vilkkula has long-standing experience of working in sales and management roles to open new markets in the Nordics, Europe, and Asia, among other regions.

Over the course of the year, the Business Joensuu GoGlobal programme is also set to organize Best Practice clinics open to all companies interested in internationalization and growth. Information on content and scheduling will be available in the Business Joensuu Events calendar.
